Rosey in another perspective:

I start my mornings by waking up in my small, round, cozy grey bed. I hear sounds of laughter coming from my parents and my siblings, having their morning conversations about whatever is going on in the world now. Everyone starts getting ready for the day. Me, well, I just sit in bed waiting for my mom to bring me my breakfast. A few minutes pass. My kind and loving mother steps over with my food for that morning. I could smell it from miles away. She hands it to me and gives me the best morning cuddles anyone could ever want. In my opinion, it is one of the best ways to wake up. I eat my yummy meat tasting breakfast. Protein in the morning? Great isn’t it!

Once my mom finishes getting ready for the day and my siblings head off to school with my father, I sit in silence until my mom says were going for a walk! Those few minutes of silence feel like forever. I sit and listen to the clock ticking, every second feels like an hour. Anyways, my mom had just bought me a hoodie, since it’s getting cold where we live. I put on my hoodie and get ready for our walk. My mom calls my name and I tell her that I’m ready for the day! We head out and I could smell the nice fresh air. We both feel the wind hitting our hair. My mom is so beautiful, her brown curly hair shifting through the winter wind and her hazel eyes squinting through the bright sunlight that day. We spend about 15 minutes on our walk. My mom gets a coffee. She says it helps her get through the day. She got me a cookie as a treat. What a nice thing to do! We head back home, and she starts preparing lunch as my siblings are going to arrive from school soon. I eat my lunch, Leftovers of a lettuce and turkey sandwich. I can safely say that was delicious. It is now 1 PM and my siblings are finally back! They have sandwiches of their own, and then proceed to doing their homework. My kind and loving mother helps them with anything they need, then begins to cook us dinner. We have dinner at around 7. My siblings started throwing food at me to eat, and gladly I accepted. Our father finally gets home from work, and we decided to have a family movie night. Everyone is cozy and my mom has me cuddled up in her arms. Slowly petting my brown hair. We finish our movie and start getting ready for bed. My mother tucks me into bed and heads down to her own room, and that was it for today. The love I feel for Rosey, my mother is unexplainable. She treats me like her own, although at the end of the day, I am just a dog.

  • This short story was meant to showcase my personality in the eyes of a dog, through a day in the life perspective. Being kind is one of the most important things to me, so I thought being kind to animals, which I love would be a great way to showcase that.
